Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of MergeCore — our website (mergecore.net), the MergeCore desktop agent, and the MergeCore Discord bot (together, the "Service"), operated by MergeCore ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What MergeCore is

MergeCore is a subscription-based tool that helps FiveM server owners manage and update their server scripts. You connect your own server, import script files you already own, and MergeCore compares, backs up, and updates them. MergeCore does not sell, host, or distribute third-party scripts.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to enter into a contract.
• You sign in using Discord and Patreon. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your devices secure.
• Each subscription is bound to a limited number of devices via a hashed hardware identifier (HWID). Sharing accounts or circumventing device limits is not permitted.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Access is provided through paid subscription tiers billed via Patreon. Your access level matches your active pledge.
• If your subscription lapses, your access to updates and entitlement roles is removed, but your locally installed scripts and local backups remain on your own machine.
• Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled according to Patreon's terms; we do not process card payments directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to pirate, redistribute, or bypass the licensing/escrow of any script you do not own.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to circumvent device binding, subscription checks, or rate limits.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Your content & responsibility

You are solely responsible for the script files you import and for ensuring you have the right to use them. MergeCore creates automatic backups before making changes, but you remain responsible for maintaining your own server backups. We are not liable for data loss, server downtime, or issues arising from third-party scripts.

6. Discord bot

Our Discord bot assigns roles based on your subscription and partner-store entitlements, posts changelogs, and runs support tickets. Use of the bot is also subject to Discord's own Terms of Service.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MergeCore is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or server availability, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous month.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and request data deletion (see our Privacy Policy).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
